Kiln dried hardwood. Once assembled, frames are wrapped in 2lb foam exceeding industry standards. Made with responsibly-sourced wood.

The Hyland chairs are gorgeous and ultra comfortable. We are thrilled with the cat claw friendly Gravity Haze fabric, no sign of them being abused at all, none what so ever! I honestly can't wait to come home and sit in them at the end of the day. Customer service was incredible as usual. The best part of the process was the early delivery, by at least a week! They compliment our West sofa in Lucky Turquoise perfectly, thank you Joybird, we'll be back.

Overall, the chair seems very well constructed and is really comfortable. The seating depth seems perfect to me (I'm 6'2"), as well as the seat back height. We went with Bentley Lavender fabric (velvet/corduroy) which is very soft, but at the same time seems like it will hold up well to our dog. The one thing I might change is the density/ILD of the seat cushion foam (it's slightly on the soft side).

We recently purchased 2 Turner Sofas in Key Largo Ruby, a Turner Chair and a West Ottoman in Bentley Pewter, 2 Hyland Chairs in Bentley Daisy. This was our furniture splurge for our new home in Boulder. It was our first time buying key pieces online, so we were a little apprehensive. However, the entire process from start (fabric swatches) to finish (delivery) with Joybird was excellent, and the furniture is exactly as we had wished — high quality, wonderful fabrics and great colors. We couldn’t be happier!
