I love everything about this table, from its boomerang legs to its open design that doesn't impose itself on the room. The construction is rock solid, and I like the mitered pieces that create a border around the table surface; it's an extra touch that has a subtle enhancement of the appearance. Practically, I use the lower shelf to keep placemats handy but out of immediate sight, keeping the surface clear.

yes, it takes a while to have these built (joybird tells you this when you order) as they are all custom orders, but when they arrive they are nothing but spectacular! the wood and style are all spot on! order and be patient and you won't go wrong,

The two pieces of furniture I ordered are more than a month late, without explanation. I'm told they are finally ready for delivery but when I try to contact the delivery company I'm left on seemingly endless hold. So I have not yet received my delayed furniture!
