The design is exactly how it appears on Joybird, we are very happy with the look of the table. The construction is solid, definitely a quality piece. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the finish on the table is very soft, within an hour our kitten had left a scratch on one of the lower compartments (try keeping a cat out of a tiered table ;-) and another family member made mark #2 by the end of the evening. Just beware if you have kids or pets, it does scratch easily.
