Kiln dried hardwood. Once assembled, frames are wrapped in 2lb foam exceeding industry standards. Made with responsibly-sourced wood.

Our Hughes Corner Sectional looks nice in our living room and gives us the seating and design style we wanted. It was definitely a risk to buy a sofa without seeing it or sitting on it, but we couldn't resist the value and the modern design. And in those two areas we were certainly not disappointed. Joybird's customer service is also very good. They quickly shipped us the fabric samples, and after we ordered our sofa it arrived on time. They even sent us a hand-written card after we placed the order, thanking us for our business. A nice touch.

I would definitely not rate the quality as high as other (more expensive) brands. The construction is solid, but our sectional pieces don't appear 100% lined up, and the very firm cushions often don't lie flat, giving it a slightly non-uniform appearance. The fabric on the cushions often appears a bit wrinkled as well. Overall, this is a solid piece of furniture, and is certainly comfortable enough. You're not getting high end craftsmanship, in my opinion, but you are getting nice design and a good value from a company that is legit and trustworthy.
