What does kid and pet Friendly mean?

Trying to find the best fabric for your furniture when you own cats or dogs can be a little complicated. While you may want that truly retro looking, heavily textured fabric, you know that your investment is ultimately at the mercy of your beloved pets or kids.

Easy to clean, wont get caught

A synthetic fabric that is a great choice, simply because it is easy to maintain and wears well. Kitty claws can’t get caught in it, stains wipe away with a damp cloth and any pet hair vacuums or wipes off easily. Never use a wet towel or harsh cleaners on microfiber as they can damage the fabric.

Velvets

 

Wears well, soft and sturdy

Velvets and/or velvet textured fabrics are great also for pets in that they wear well and are less likely to show wear and tear. Its pile is soft and sturdy. In addition, its surface is such that hair and debris are easily wiped away with a damp cloth or lint brush. Our Bentley fabrics have a velvet feel and is recommended for both dog and cat owners.

Leathers

 

Stands the test of time

Although leather at times may appear fragile or delicate, it is actually more durable than most think, being able to stand up to most pets and kid activities. Even when they do leave a mess, dirt is easy to wipe clean and pet hair doesn’t cling to it. Simply take a damp cloth to your leather and enjoy hassle-free maintenance. Overtime, the wear characteristics are actually ideal for hiding those little paw or scuff marks.
