I love my Hughes chaise sectional. It surpassed my expectations- even after reading every glowing review I could find. Its more comfortable than I imagined. The right mix of firm and cozy. Mid century modern often means stiff and uncomfortable. Not here! The arm lines are beautiful and the understated tufting and seams on the back cushions are stylish and classy. This size is perfect for a smaller space. A sectional that doesn't swallow up the room. The legs elevate it of the ground making it visually feel lighter. The legs are beautiful and sturdy- nothing screwed on here. I chose the natural finish with the lucky turquoise fabric- LOVE LOVE LOVE! The swatches I ordered were spot on. This fabric has some subtle variation giving it some depth. Dog hair comes off easily too. The best part is the quality. This piece of furniture looks and feels like it's built to last. It LOOKS custom built. There was nothing even close to this quality at this price point in the Portland area stores. Please Joybird stay true to yourself because you got something special going on! This will be the first place I look for future furniture investments- I'd love to see more dining tables options- hint,hint. Oh, and I love the customer service and frequent updates- Joybird went out of their way to make this a personal experience. Kristi

The whole order process was great - the "last mile" not so good. When you buy a new yellow couch it really MUST be wrapped in plastic. Because delivery guys don't wash their hands after they pull the box out of the truck. They may put on gloves to handle the couch and those gloves may or may not be fresh. Simple solution: put a plastic bag around the couch - then there is little chance of hand smudges on your brand new furniture. Also, they needed to remove the legs to get it through my door - and they put them back on backwards. No biggie - I noticed and they fixed this - but not before man-handling the couch again with their dirty hands and leaving other smudges. Other than these observations - this seems like a well-made piece of furniture: fabric is vibrant and the body, cushions & build seem solid.

I was used to an old-fashioned, oversized, very soft sofa so I was concerned that this one would not be as good of a "nap couch," (which is very important to me!), so I was thrilled that it is actually very comfortable! Firm, yes, but still comfortable. It's also nice that two people can stretch out on it and still have plenty of room. Construction quality seems nice. Color is perfect. Very pleased that I didn't have to trade comfort for style!
