We got our sofa just in time for my out of town relatives to give it a sit. 4 adults could sit on it comfortably, with elbow room to spare.

I used to be a vintage furniture dealer, and an upholsterer so to say I am picky about my furniture is an understatement. In fact, I know I'm a total pain in the ass customer, but man, these people at Joybird are an A+ crew! Totally patient with my questions and indecissions. I was most anxious while waiting for this piece to arrive, but all my concerns melted away once I met my Hughes sofa in person. The upholstery is perfectly firm and clean with no slack, and the seat cushion foam is a wonderful density. I love the integrated back rather than back pillows, so the lines stay clean and the support feels just right. The depth and height are also right on target. I couldn't be happier, and my sofa is now a welcoming part of my evening relaxation.

I'm concerned about the middle leg. It's does not touch the floor. I feel certain my floor is level since we have new wood floors installed. Please let me know if that should be a concern. I don't want my sofa to bow..

The optional middle leg is included for added support and to help maintain the structural integrity of the frame in the event extra weight is applied. The center support leg is suspended approximately ½" above the floor, making contact with the floor as weight is applied to the sofa.
All center support legs are meant to be shorter than the regular legs to distribute the weight evenly.

Overall I had a great experience with Joybird. While my order was delayed a few weeks b/c the fabric I wanted was on backorder, Joybird alerted me of this and offered me free accessories for my sofa to account for the delay. However, my sofa arrived a few weeks ago now and I am in love with it. It's firm but comfortable, the fabric is beautiful and durable, and the style is quintessential mid-century modern. I couldn't be happier with how the purchase turned out and will be recommending Joybird to family and friends looking for new furniture.

My Hughes sofa in Key Largo mink arrived two weeks earlier than expected. The fabric matches the swatch you sent me exactly. The sofa is solidly constructed and very sturdy, the seat cushions are thick and firm, and the seating area is deep, making this a very comfortable sofa to sit or stretch out on. The clean, elegant lines and subtle taupe color look great in my place. I love it!
