Like many, I was sooooo reluctant to get a couch online without actually seeing it, touching it or even sitting on it. Some of the pics of the Stowe sofa dont really do the sofa justice. The pics make the sofa appear too "bumpy" which makes the sofa appear abit funky. But there were other pics on their website which put me at ease. I was reluctant throughout the entire process. I like a gray sofa without any tinge of blue so i ended up going with the slate grey. It was abit dark but since I have a 2 year old, I thought a darker color would help. The fabric was actually made up of several threads in different colors which would produce a gray color. Joybird was actually nice enough to send me a 16 inch x 16 inch color fabric. Even after I received it, I was reluctant lol. I kept telling myself, OK with the 2 week free return, I have nothing to lose...

When the sofa arrived, I was very impressed. The quality is superb. Heres the good and bad....
The only slightly bad thing is that the depth of the sitting area is very deep. Unless your 7 ft tall, youll either need a pillow to put on your back, or youll need to put your legs up on the coffee table.
But since its so deep, a person can actually sleep on this sofa and visually, it really gives the couch a "presence" or a grand or stable feeling (dont really know how to describe it).
The best part of the sofa that I think many fail to mention is the foam. The foam feels very resilient (it almost feels like those gel souls you put in your shoes). You can squeeze it or push it down, and itll bounce right back up). I hate having wrinkles in my couch, and thats why i chose this sofa since it has so many tufts. With the foam, I believe I wont be seeing wrinkles in a very long time. Ive had the sofa for over a month, and it still looks as great as day one. The legs are also in a matte varnish which further adds to the midcentury modern feel.
Im a furniture junkie and I have purchased furniture from room and board, boconcept, ligne roset, etc. and i must say this couch has the best quality foam. The room and board sofa in my living rooms foam just doesnt match up.

As we say in the North when we are blown away by something: UFF DA! This sofa is better than I could have ever imagined. It is exactly what I was looking for. It has such a presence, it takes my breath away to look at it. I didn't know what to expect from ordering site unseen, but I am not disappointed in the least. I am 6 feet tall and the sofa almost is at my hip when I stand next to it. The back is the perfect height for me to rest my arm on when I'm sitting and it is the perfect depth. It is incredibly comfortable, INCREDIBLY. It is so supportive, absolutely divine. I've already fallen asleep on it twice and it just came yesterday, that should tell you something. Overall, this furniture is such a nice treat. I've never had anything made "special" for me before and what better to have made just for you than your sofa. It was worth the build time and Joybird always did a fabulous job updating me and keeping track of what was happening with my order and they were ALWAYS nice, even when I was a pain in the you know what. You can't go wrong with Joybird whether you pick the Stowe sofa or you go with another one. Though I recommend the Stowe, because obviously ;)

Great design. Fantastic color. Fabric is perfect. The two guys that had to lug this 220+ pound behemoth up 5 flights of stairs may disagree, but this is quite simply the greatest sofa in the history of torpid sprawling. I am not exaggerating; the world would be a better place if everyone had a Bentley Lavender Stowe sofa. When Vishnu, Jesus, and the Silver Surfer teamed up to invent sitting, this is what they were thinking about. Huzzah.
