Construction Details

Frame: Kiln dried hardwood. Once assembled, frames are wrapped in 2lb foam exceeding industry standards. Made with responsibly-sourced wood.
Legs: Solid beech
Suspension: Seat - zig zag springs. Back - poly webbing
Joints: Glued, stapled and screwed to ensure frame stability and longevity.
Assembly: Screw on legs
Style: Tight back; loose seat
Cushions: Contain no flame retardants or harmful chemicals.
Glue and Stains: Water-based, low-VOC

Product Care

Vacuum: Vacuum regularly with a vacuum attachment.
Cushions: Flip & rotate removable cushions to ensure even wear and increase longevity of your cushions.
Sunlight: Do not expose upholstered pieces to direct sunlight.
Spot Cleaning: Use a cleaning product that corresponds with your fabric's cleaning code. Always blot stains; never rub. Use a clean, dry, white cloth.
Cleaning Code W: Water. Use only water based cleaning products.
Cleaning Code S: Solvent. Use only water free cleaning solvents.

I was a little anxious buying online without ever sitting in it, but the swatches helped a lot to decide on a color (I got "Echo Red" particularly because of its smooth finish). The couch was professionally delivered and cleanly set up (For comparison, a furniture delivery from another company was supposedly "inside delivery", but there was just one guy wondering if maybe do I have a hand truck? and I have to help him carry it inside myself? I mean, no big deal, but pretty cut-rate.) These guys were considerate and checked with me that everything was okay, and all that. Best of all, the couch looks great and is super comfy. My girlfriend agrees that it is much better than the futon and I've gotten many positive comments. Excellent website and service, the only hiccup being an expired SSL certificate the first time I tried to order. Recommended!

Love the couch, it was exactly what I was looking for and it has been a great addition to my home. It's beautiful and well build and I know it will be a centerpiece for a long time. Joybird has been great to deal with, from originally sending swatches for me to pick from to helping with the ordering process to getting it finished earlier than planned.

We are really pleased with the look and color of our sofa. Joybird's customer service is also excellent. However, we can't say that the sofa is comfy. We will accessorize with pillows.

This sofa is great. I was a bit hesitant about buying a sofa online without having ever sat in it, but this sofa has turned me into a believer. It is soft, yet supportive and the quality is second to none. I would gladly purchase another sofa again from Joybird.

We have had our West sofa for 4 months now and remain completely in love with it.

It's definitely kid friendly, multiple flips have occurred safely and comfortably!

Pet friendly for sure, has survived cat claws. Lucky Turquoise!! I'm not promoting clawing, we keep throws on it when away and at night, but it's pet friendly.

It' looks like it did the day it was delivered.

Update. I changed from 5 to 4 stars. While the service from Joybird was excellent, in reality (after using for two months) the quality is slightly above average. Not a huge deal, but seams aren't quite straight, the padding is not as firm as when new. I'd say worth the price paid. Still satisfied with quality of fabric and design. Initial review was: As with other reviews, the decision making and purchase process was perfect. I could not ask for more from the staff at Joybird. Delivery was by a 3rd party shipper, and was toward the end of the promised time frame. But, the sofa is perfect. I am 6' 3" tall, and finding a comfortable, modern sofa is impossible. But the West works for me just fine. Well made, the fabric is as promised by the sample. The only complaint (if you can call it that), is the back of the sofa is not 3 separate cushions, but rather a stiched seam separating 3 sections of the back. But in the end, I actually like it more, it's just not what I thought the photos showed. A great sofa at a great price. Who could ask for more ???? Very satisfied with the purchase.
