OFFICIAL RULES

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR.  DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND FALL WITHIN THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AS SET FORTH BELOW.  

Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 30, 2023 and ends at 11:59:59 pm ET on October 6, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).    

Who may Enter:  The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding residents of the province of Quebec), who are age eighteen (18) or older as of the date of entry (“Entrant”), except the following persons who are not eligible to enter, participate or win: employees, officers, and directors of La-Z-Boy Incorporated (“Sponsor”) and its licensees, parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, wholesalers, distributors, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the design or execution of this Sweepstakes, and the immediate family members or households, whether or not related, of any of the above. “Immediate family members” includes, for purposes of this Sweepstakes, parents (including in-laws and step-parents), grandparents, siblings (including step-siblings and half-siblings), children (including step-children), grandchildren (including step grandchildren) and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void elsewhere and wherever prohibited by law.

How to Enter: Entrants who are the recipient of a survey invitation from Sponsor during the Promotion Period may complete a survey associated with this Promotion by following the link to the survey website using the unique survey URL (the “Survey Website”) and completing the survey. The survey must be completed in its entirety by submitting all answers to the survey questions. Upon completing the survey, Entrant may be prompted to complete the entry form in its entirety to include first name, last name, street address, city, state, zip, phone number and email address, which must be completed to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. The survey must be completed by 11:59:59pm ET on October 6, 2023. There is a limit of one (1) entry per Entrant for the entire Sweepstakes Period. Any attempt by an Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, and/or any other methods will void that Entrant’s entry and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. Entries submitted by anyone other than the Entrant are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any Entrant, the entry will be declared to have been made by the registered name and address on such entry. Any potential prize winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such person is the prize winner. No mechanically produced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate in the Sweepstakes is prohibited, will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.  False and/or deceptive entries or acts, including misrepresentation of age, shall render such entries ineligible.

Drawing: On or about October 9, 2023, potential prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

Prize and Approximate Retail Value (the “ARV”): Five (5) prizes will be awarded, each consisting of an Amazon gift card in the amount of $200. If the winner cannot accept a prize as stated, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and awarded to an alternate winner. Total maximum ARV of all prizes is $1000.  
 

Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified by Sponsor by email on or about October 9, 2023 (the “Notification”). The potential winner will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility (or Declaration of Compliance if Canadian winner) and liability release (the “Documents”) within fourteen (14) days of the Notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. The Documents will be sent via email. If any potential winner is considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence (but must be over the age of 18), the Documents must be completed and signed by his/her parent or legal guardian and the prize will be delivered to minor’s parent/legal guardian and awarded in the name of parent/legal guardian. After verification of the Documents, the prize will be sent via email within four to six weeks from the drawing date to the email address supplied at the time of entry. 

If a potential winner fails to timely return the Documents, or is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and another potential winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries received. If the Notification is returned as undeliverable, this will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. 

General Rules: All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners Prize is nontransferable, and no substitution is allowed except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value. Winner and all entrants, as a condition of entry into the Sweepstakes, agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes, the receipt, ownership or use of prize awarded or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement or offering of the prize. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or use or redemption of the prize. By entering, Entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (or when setting up winner’s account). "Authorized account holder" of an e-mail address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; violates the Official Rules; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. Entries generated by script or bot are not eligible. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or corruption of any sort, and in such instance may randomly draw from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date to award prizes. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws. As a condition of entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees that: 1) under no circumstance will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for out-of-pocket expenses; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event will entrant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or other legal costs.

Data Privacy. All personal information that Entrant submits will be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy. In the event of any discrepancy between Sponsor’s privacy policy and these Official Rules, the privacy policy will govern and control. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policy.
