We understand mistakes happen. If something goes wrong, we're here for you.

Furniture return policy

You have 365 days to return an item unless it's damaged, soiled, or excessively used. If you request a return within 14 days of delivery, we'll even pay for shipping back to us. Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected and appropriate credits and/or refunds will be issued for the item(s) and any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with state law.

Refunds & Exchanges

Orders under $7,500 can be returned to us for a full refund. We also cover the cost of return shipping within 14 days of delivery. Orders $7,500 and over can be returned, but we'll deduct a 20% return processing fee from your refund. We'll arrange the return shipping and refund the order amount (minus 20%) when we receive the product(s) from you. Unfortunately, expedited production fees are non-refundable.

Orders returned to us due to non-scheduling of delivery will result in a 20% restocking fee.

Custom Orders

Custom items ordered via our website are eligible for our return policy, but special requests or modifications outside of the custom options available on our website and limited-edition patchwork products are not.

Accessory return policy

To initiate a return on our accessories, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item(s) for product-specific return procedures. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we receive your return. Fabric by the yard and Wallpapers are final sale and cannot be returned. If you request a return on an accessory you will have 14 days from the date that we email you the return shipping label to drop it off at Fed EX or UPS. If you do not ship back the accessory within that 14 day window we can no longer accept it as a return.

Damaged items

Joybird is proud of our quality and craftsmanship. However, accidents can happen. In the rare event that your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us upon receipt, and we’ll make things right.


Changed your mind? We’re more than happy to help you order another product if your original order hasn't already shipped. Exchanges for delivered furniture items are not allowed.


In the event that you make a purchase during a promotion where the total discount you received was dependent upon the grand total cost of the order (commonly called a Buy More, Save More Sale), and part of the order is canceled or returned after making the purchase, then the discount you qualified for is subject to change to a lower discount as dictated by the promotion. Any refunds for items returned or canceled will be subject to this change.
